This is my first year of being an assistant coach in the Defenders program. I am blessed to have two grandchildren playing with the Defenders. I coached basketball, baseball and girl's softball for many years when our children were coming up thru youth sports and quite frankly, I didn't anticipate ever coaching again. But here I am, back in the coaching business at 67 years old. And, I am loving every minute of watching these young men grow not only in their basketball abilities, but as teammates and as followers of Jesus. My prayer is that coach Henderson and I can be great examples of how to be a follower of Jesus Christ in how we coach, love, encourage, and teach these young men.
